"Jaume I, el rei conqueridor" is a didactic show that, until February 2009, will be travelling more than half hundred cities of Alicante, Castellón and Valencia to announce to the public the figure of Jaume I.

This is the name of the new restaurant industry that was presented the Tuesday 2nd September at the gardens of the House of Culture of Gandía. It is a new “Route of Tapas, Meals and Drinks” along the Raval neighbourhood and the Prado Square. From the 3rd of September, every customer who consumes 2€ in tapas and drinks will receive a ticket to fill a card where all the different participants appear. When he gets it completed he will participate in the riffle of 50€ to spend in the different restaurants or bars.

The beach Nord of Gandía and Pau Pi of Oliva will host the campaign of Diputacion of Valencia "Come into your Interior land." This is a tourist tour that aims to attract visitors and tourists from the beach to learn the interior counties.

One more year it is celebrated in Gandía the Gandía City Half Marathon. The proof is organised by the Club Garbí and is sponsored by the Townhall of Gandia.

From FIRA GANDIA they are working in the preparation of the first edition of FIRASTOCK, a stock and opportunities fair of regional field that will take place the days 7, 8, 9 and 10th August from 19.00 to 00.00 hours in the exhibition site FIRA GANDIA.

The Club Natació i Esports Gandía, with the collaboration of the Town Hall of Gandía, through the Fundació Esportiva Municipal, the Junta de Distrito del Grau, the Autoridad Portuaria, the Cofradía de Pescadores and the Capitanía Marítima, organises the LV Crossing the port of Gandía, the next day 15th August 2008.

The Culture department of the Town Hall of Gandía opened the new exhibition gallery of the city last week. It is the Espai d’Art. The gallery is placed in the former textile factory of Sanmateu, in the Fundacion Vicent Ferrer Street. The new cultural space of the city will start presenting the exhibition called Charpa, una historia (Une boîte en valise), because of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Charpa Gallery in Valencia.

Next week the Town Hall of Gandía will start the first works of conditioning of the natural spot Parpalló – Borrell, according to the department of Medio Ambiente of the Town Hall of Gandía. Besides, they have confirmed that the spot will have an interpretation centre that will be built in autumn.

The Friday 11th July, at 22.00 hours, the pyrotechnics Borredá will offer a fireworks castle show in front of the Bayren Hotel in Gandía beach.

The weekend of the 20th to the 22nd June, the exhibition site of Gandía, Fira Gandía, has hosted the first edition of the interior decoration fair, Expoindec.
